COB LED Strip 14.4W/m 5m IP65 24V - Warm White

This COB LED strip lights a room or surface with one continuous, dot-free line of warm white light, drawing up to 14.4W per metre. Where a traditional led strip or led tape shows individual diodes, the chip-on-board build packs the emitters into an even ribbon, so coves, shelf edges and under-cabinet runs read as a clean line rather than a row of points. Each metre delivers 1890 lumens at 3000K, with a Ra90 colour rendering that keeps timber, paintwork and food looking true. The reel supplies 5m of flexible strip running on 24V DC, so it bends around corners and along recessed channels without the bulk of a rigid fitting.

Warm white at 3000K suits kitchens, living rooms, hallways and bedrooms, lifting plinths, headboards, alcoves and stair voids with a low, indirect glow. Because the IP65 coating seals the strip against splashes and moisture, the same reel works in sheltered outdoor settings such as a covered patio, soffit or pergola, and in damp interior spots like a bathroom cove or utility shelf. Coverage depends on how the strip is positioned rather than a fixed floor area: aimed at a wall or ceiling it grazes the surface to wash it evenly, while tucked under a worktop it throws a bright, shadow-free task line across the counter directly below.

The strip cuts to length at the marked points every 4.55cm, so a run can be trimmed to fit a shelf, a worktop or a single alcove. It runs on 24V DC and is not a mains-direct fitting, so a matching 24V LED driver is required and is supplied separately; size the driver to the total wattage of the run. Rated to IP65 with a 30,000 hour lifespan, it weighs 126g per reel. Matching drivers, profiles and connectors are available across the range to complete an installation.

Does this LED strip need a driver?

Yes. It runs on 24V DC, not mains voltage, so it needs a 24V LED driver, which is supplied separately. Choose a driver rated for at least the total wattage of your run, allowing 14.4W for each metre used.

Can the strip be cut to length?

Yes. It can be cut at the marked points every 4.55cm, so you can size it to a shelf, worktop or alcove. Only cut at the marked intervals, and join offcuts using compatible connectors.

Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?

Its IP65 rating means it is coated against splashes and moisture, so it suits sheltered outdoor runs such as a covered patio or soffit, and damp interior spots like a bathroom cove. Keep it clear of direct submersion or sustained pressure jets, as IP65 covers wet exposure rather than immersion.

How do I clean the strip?

Switch it off and let it cool, then wipe the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid solvents or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the coating that gives the strip its IP65 protection.
