Description
The COB LED Strip is a continuous, dot-free line of diodes on a flexible 5 metre reel, giving an even run of light with no visible spotting along its length. It draws up to 14.4W per metre and puts out 2110 lumens per metre in a crisp 6500K daylight tone, so the light reads clean and bright across the whole strip. Known in the US as COB LED tape light, it runs on 24V DC rather than straight from a wall socket, which keeps the line stable over the full reel. The strip cuts to length at the marked points every 4.55 cm, so it can be trimmed to fit a run exactly.
Daylight at 6500K and a Ra90 colour rendering make this strip well suited to task and detail areas where colours need to read accurately, such as under kitchen cabinets, along shelving, inside display cases and within cove or pelmet runs. Coverage is best judged as a bright, linear wash close to the surface it sits behind rather than as general room lighting, so position it to graze worktops, edges or recesses for the strongest effect. The 2110 lumens per metre give plenty of output for under-cabinet and accent work, and the dot-free COB face means the light stays smooth even when viewed at an angle. Plan the run length before cutting so each section lands on a marked cut point.
Supplied on a flexible reel, the strip is rated IP00 and is for dry indoor use only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor position. It needs a matching 24V DC LED driver, sized to the total wattage of the run and sold separately, since the strip cannot connect direct to the mains. Rated for 30,000 hours, it cuts only at the 4.55 cm intervals and joins with the appropriate connectors for longer or cornered layouts.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, not mains voltage, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is sold separately. Size the driver to the total wattage of your run, allowing 14.4W for every metre of strip used.
Where can the strip be cut?
The strip cuts to length at the marked cut points, which fall every 4.55 cm along the reel. Only cut at these marked positions so the section stays powered correctly.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00 and is for dry indoor use only. Keep it clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor or sheltered-outdoor position.
What does the COB face look like compared with a standard strip?
COB gives a continuous, dot-free line of light rather than spaced points, so the run looks smooth even close up or at an angle. With 2110 lumens per metre in 6500K daylight and Ra90 rendering, it suits under-cabinet and accent work where an even, accurate light matters.
