Description
This COB LED strip puts out a continuous, dot-free line of light along a flexible 5m reel, drawing up to 14.4W per metre for around 2110 lumens per metre in a crisp 4000K cool white. Unlike spaced SMD reels, the chip-on-board format gives an even, solid run of brightness with no visible diodes, so the lit edge reads as one smooth line rather than a row of points. American buyers will know this style as cool white led tape light, and the same reel suits under cabinet runs or cove detailing. With a high CRI of Ra90, colours and surfaces under the strip stay true.
The reel is cut-to-length at the marked interval every 4.55cm, so a run can be trimmed to fit a shelf, plinth, stair edge or display cabinet without waste. It works well for under-cabinet task light in a kitchen, accent lighting along coving, or backlighting a media unit or shelving, where the dot-free output reads cleanly off a reflective surface. Because the light is a linear strip rather than ambient room lighting, plan it as an outline or wash along the length you want lit rather than to cover a floor area. The 30,000 hour rated life keeps replacement intervals long across these everyday locations.
The strip runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver sized to the total wattage of the length used, supplied separately. It is not a mains-direct product and should not be wired straight into a wall socket. Rated IP00, it is for dry indoor use only and must be kept clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor location. Self-adhesive backing fixes it to a clean, dry surface, and at 24V over a 5m reel the run stays even end to end. The wider COB LED Strip range includes other outputs and colour temperatures to match alongside it.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a separate driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, not mains voltage, so it needs a 24V LED driver rated for the total wattage of the length you use. The driver is sold separately, so size it to your run before ordering.
Where can the strip be cut?
The reel can be trimmed to length at the marked cut points, which fall every 4.55cm along the strip. Always cut on the marked line so each section keeps a complete circuit, and only cut the strip when it is disconnected from power.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00, which means dry indoor use only. Keep it out of bathrooms, kitchens splash zones, damp areas and any outdoor location, and choose a coated IP65 strip for those settings instead.
What does the dot-free COB format give you?
COB places diodes in a continuous chip-on-board line rather than spaced points, so the lit run reads as one smooth band with no visible dots. With Ra90 colour rendering and 2110 lumens per metre, it gives an even, true-to-colour wash that suits under-cabinet and cove lighting.
