Description
This COB LED strip light gives a continuous, dot-free line of light along a flexible 5 metre reel, drawing 10.5W per metre for a steady blue glow with no visible diode spots. It runs on 24V DC, so it pairs with a matching LED driver (sold separately) rather than connecting straight to the mains. Known to US buyers as COB LED tape light, the strip cuts to length at the marked points every 5 cm, letting you size each run to the space.
With its IP65 rating, the strip is sealed against damp and direct water, so it works in sheltered and exposed outdoor settings as well as indoors. The continuous blue line suits cove and outline runs, under-cabinet edges, eaves, signage and feature borders, where the even output marks an edge or accent rather than lighting a whole room. Throw is short and decorative, hugging the surface it is fixed to, so plan it as accent and outline detail. Joining several cut sections back to the same 24V driver builds longer runs around a patio, bar or display.
The diodes sit on a flexible reel coated for the IP65 rating, allowing the strip to bend around corners and along curved profiles. It is supplied as a 5 metre reel rated to 130 lumens per metre, with a 30,000 hour lifespan. Remember that the 24V DC supply means a separate driver must be specified to match the total load of the run. The COB LED Strip range also includes other colour-temperature and white options on the same reel format.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is supplied separately. Do not connect it directly to the mains; size the driver to cover the total wattage of the length you install.
Where can the strip be cut?
The strip cuts to length at the marked cut points, which fall every 5 cm along the reel. Only cut at these marks so the circuit stays intact, then connect the cut section back to the driver.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. The IP65 rating means it is weatherproof and sealed against damp and direct water, so it is suitable for exposed outdoor and wet locations as well as sheltered and indoor runs.
How do I keep the strip clean?
Wipe the coated surface with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth once the supply is switched off. Avoid solvents and harsh cleaners, which can mark the IP65 coating over time.
