Description
This COB LED strip light puts a continuous, dot-free line of diodes onto a flexible 5 metre reel, giving an even green glow with none of the spotting you see on older spaced-diode tape. It draws 10.5W per metre and gives 950 lumens per metre, running on 24V DC rather than direct from the mains. In the US this is the same idea as a COB led tape light, supplied on a reel ready to be set into a run. The strip cuts to length at the marked points every 5cm, so it can be sized to the exact channel, shelf or recess it needs to fill.
Being a coloured strip rather than a white room light, it is used for accent and effect work indoors: cove and ceiling perimeter detailing, under-cabinet and shelf washes, display cases, bar fronts and signage. The green output suits feature lighting and zoning rather than general task brightness, so think of it as a continuous line of colour grazing a surface rather than something that lights a whole room to a set level. Because the line is dot-free, it reads as a clean, even band even when viewed close up in a shallow aluminium profile. Plan runs to suit the reel length and the cut interval so each length terminates at a marked cut point.
The strip is rated IP00, which makes it a dry indoor fitting only; keep it clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor location. It runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is sold separately and should be sized to the total wattage of the run you build. Diode life is rated at around 30,000 hours, and the flexible backing lets it follow gentle curves and corners into a channel. We stock this COB strip in other colours and outputs across the range alongside compatible 24V drivers.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a separate driver?
Yes. It is a 24V DC strip, not a mains-direct fitting, so it needs a 24V LED driver to run safely. The driver is sold separately and should be rated to cover the total wattage of your run, which is 10.5W for every metre used.
Can the strip be cut to length, and where?
Yes. It cuts to length at the marked cut points, which fall every 5cm along the reel. Always cut on a marked line so the section stays powered correctly, and size each length to its channel or shelf before fitting.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00, which means it is for dry indoor use only. Keep it out of bathrooms, damp rooms and any outdoor or sheltered-outdoor location, where a coated IP65 strip would be needed instead.
How do I clean the strip?
Switch off at the driver and let it cool, then wipe gently along its length with a dry or barely damp lint-free cloth. Avoid solvents and soaking, and do not let moisture reach the cut ends or connectors, as the strip carries no moisture rating.
