Amalfi Wooden Pillar Candle Holder 31cm - Brown Mango Wood

The Amalfi is a 31cm-tall pillar candle holder built from a single column of natural mango wood with a darker brown colour wash finish, topped and banded with antique brass metal detailing. The holder accepts pillar candles up to 7cm diameter, with a shallow metal cup at the top to catch wax drips and contain the candle base. The wood grain runs vertically along the column, showing natural variation in tone and figure between individual pieces.

Designed for mantelpieces, console tables, sideboards and dining table centrepieces, the Amalfi sits securely on its 10.5cm square base without needing a tray or additional support. The 31cm height allows the candle flame to sit well above tabletop clutter while remaining below typical eye level when seated. The antique brass bands contrast with the darker wood tone, giving the holder a mid-century or classical profile depending on surrounding interior style.

Each holder is handmade from mango wood, so the grain pattern, knots and tonal variation differ between pieces. The colour-washed finish darkens the natural wood while still allowing the grain to show through. At 1.64kg the holder has enough weight to remain stable when a pillar candle burns down to its final third. The brass detailing at the top and base is fixed into the wood rather than surface-applied, so it will not lift or peel with handling.

A 23cm-tall version of this holder is also available. Both sizes can be grouped on a mantelpiece or sideboard to create varied-height candle displays without needing to match identical pieces.

What size candle does it take?

Can it be used outdoors?

The Amalfi is designed for indoor use. Mango wood is porous and will absorb moisture if exposed to rain or outdoor humidity, which can cause warping or finish degradation over time.

How is the wood maintained?

Wipe with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the wood. Do not use furniture polish, wax or chemical cleaners on the colour-washed finish.
