Description

The Alexandra is a 50cm crystal chandelier with nine E14 bulb fittings arranged across two tiers, suspended from a gold-finished metal frame with cascading crystal droplets. The upper tier houses three bulbs within a crowned crystal ring, while the lower tier distributes six bulbs around a larger 50cm-diameter crystal band. Precision-cut crystal prisms, spheres and rectangular drops hang in layered curtains from both tiers, refracting light across walls and ceilings when the chandelier is lit.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Alexandra provides both ambient light through the nine bulbs and decorative sparkle from the crystal. The adjustable drop of 790-2200mm allows the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or set higher in a double-height hallway. The gold frame finish softens the reflections and pairs well with warm-toned interiors, traditional settings and transitional rooms mixing classical and contemporary elements.

Each crystal element is individually hung on the gold frame, creating movement and light refraction from different angles as air currents shift the droplets. The combined weight of 12.7kg — mostly from the crystal — gives the chandelier substantial presence without requiring reinforced ceiling fixings beyond a standard ceiling rose rated for the load. The nine E14 fittings accept candle-style bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), with dimmer compatibility dependent on the bulb type chosen.
