Addressable LED Strip 11W/m Daylight Cuttable IP65 - Daylight White

This addressable LED strip puts each diode under individual control, so a compatible digital controller can drive chasing, sequenced and dynamic white effects along its length. It is an led strip light of the per-pixel type, what US buyers often shop for as led tape light, and every segment here works in a single daylight white tone rather than colour mixing. The strip draws 11W per metre and delivers 1100 lumens per metre in a crisp 6500K daylight, with a CRI of Ra90 for accurate rendering. It runs from a 24V DC supply, not the mains direct, and cuts cleanly to length at the marked points every 10cm.

Because each pixel can be addressed independently, the strip suits dynamic accent runs where a static line would not do enough: stair-edge sequencing, signage outlines, gaming and media walls, shelving and display backlighting, and animated cove or eaves detailing. The IP65 rating means it copes with exposed outdoor and wet positions as well as indoor ones, so the same reel works for garden features, pergola edges and patio outlines. Coverage is best judged by run rather than floor area here, since the effect is a controlled line of light rather than ambient room lighting; the 5m reel gives a continuous illuminated edge that can be trimmed to fit the exact length you need.

Does this strip need a driver?

Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver rather than a direct mains connection. You also need a compatible addressable controller to drive the per-pixel effects. The driver and controller are supplied separately unless bought as part of a kit.

Can it be cut to length and where?

Yes, the strip is cut-to-length but only at the marked cut points, which fall every 10cm along the reel. Cutting between those points damages the segment, so always trim on the printed line. The full reel is 5m long.

Is it suitable for outdoor and damp locations?

Yes. With an IP65 rating it is weatherproof and copes with exposed outdoor and wet positions, including garden features, pergolas and patio edges. Keep all driver and controller connections protected and rated for the location.
