Description

The Knightsbridge MLC6045SD is a 60x45cm IP44-rated bathroom mirror with integrated LED lighting, a built-in demister pad, a dual-voltage shaver socket, and a motion sensor for hands-free operation. The mirror features a border of mini circular SMD LEDs that cast even 4000K cool white illumination around the perimeter, with the LEDs sitting behind the glass edge to diffuse the light across the mirror surface.

Designed for bathrooms and en-suites where IP44 splash protection is required, the mirror mounts directly to the wall with a 55mm projection from the mounting surface. The motion sensor detects movement within range and switches the LED border on and off without requiring a wall switch, while the shaver socket operates independently on a separate switch, allowing the socket to remain live when the mirror light is off. The demister pad covers the full rear surface of the mirror, preventing condensation build-up after showers and baths.

The pressed steel backing plate and 4mm glass mirror give the unit a rigid, flat profile suitable for tiled and plasterboard walls. The dual-voltage shaver socket accepts both 115V and 230V plugs, making it compatible with international electric shavers and toothbrushes. The 14W LED array delivers 1310 lumens at source with a CRI above 80, providing accurate colour rendering for grooming tasks. How does the motion sensor work?

The motion sensor detects movement within range and switches the LED border on and off automatically. The sensor range and sensitivity are fixed at factory settings. The shaver socket operates independently on a separate switch and is not controlled by the motion sensor.

Does the demister pad need to be switched separately?

The demister pad is integrated into the mirror's wiring and typically shares the same power supply as the LED border. Check the installation manual for the specific wiring configuration, as some models allow the demister to be wired to a separate switch.

Is the mirror dimmable?

No. The constant current LED driver is non-dimmable and will not function correctly if connected to a dimmer switch.
