Description

This Knightsbridge cooker control unit combines a 45A double-pole switch with a 13A switched socket behind an antique brass faceplate with black insert. The 45A switch controls high-load cooking appliances up to 10,350W (at 230V), while the integrated 13A socket provides a standard outlet for smaller kitchen devices. Red neon indicators show when each circuit is live, providing visual confirmation before maintenance work.

Designed for kitchens where a cooker, hob, or range requires a dedicated isolation switch within 2 metres of the appliance as per UK wiring regulations. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when off, ensuring complete disconnection from the mains during cleaning or repair. The 13A socket outlet allows a kettle, microwave, or small appliance to be powered from the same unit, reducing the need for separate socket positions near the cooker.

The antique brass finish shows a warm, aged patina that suits traditional and country-style kitchens, pairing with brass cabinet handles, taps and period fixtures. The black insert behind the brass faceplate defines the switch and socket apertures and conceals the back of the cover plate.
