Description

The Knightsbridge 2-gang blanking plate covers unused or redundant electrical boxes behind a brushed chrome screwless faceplate. The plate measures 147.5mm wide by 87.5mm high with a 4.3mm projection from the wall, and includes a built-in gasket that seals the plate to the back box during installation.

Designed for residential and commercial projects where electrical boxes remain after rewiring or room layout changes, the blanking plate prevents dust ingress and provides a finished appearance without the need for visible screws. The screwless cover clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, giving a clean finish that matches other screwless wiring accessories in the same finish.

The plate fits standard 2-gang UK back boxes with 25mm minimum depth. The screwless cover clips onto a separate metal sub-frame that mounts to the back box lugs in the same way as a traditional screw-fixed plate.

Can the screwless plate be removed after installation?

Yes. The cover plate clips onto the sub-frame and can be removed for redecorating or access to the back box, then re-clipped without removing the sub-frame or disturbing the wiring.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the plate is suitable for dry indoor areas only. For bathrooms, check the zone requirements — IP20 products are generally acceptable outside zones 0, 1 and 2, but verify local building regulations before specifying.
