16A 110V 3-Way Industrial Splitter - Yellow & White IP44

The Knightsbridge IN005 is a 16A 110V 3-way industrial splitter with 2-pole + earth configuration, housed in a yellow and white impact-resistant thermoplastic body. The splitter takes one 110V 16A input and splits it to three 110V 16A outputs, allowing multiple tools or machines to run from a single 110V supply point. Each outlet and the inlet carry IP44 protection against solid objects over 1mm and water splashes from any direction.

Designed for construction sites, workshops, event rigging and outdoor maintenance work where 110V is the standard working voltage, the splitter sits on site floors or workbenches and distributes power to drills, grinders, mixers, lights and other 110V equipment without needing additional extension cables back to the transformer. The 2-pole + earth wiring isolates both live conductors when disconnected, reducing shock risk when tools are unplugged under load. The yellow casing provides high visibility in cluttered or low-light work areas.

The body measures 224mm long by 213mm wide, giving a compact footprint that fits between equipment on a workbench or against a wall on site. The hinged yellow covers over each outlet protect the contacts from dust and debris when sockets are not in use, and snap back open when a plug is inserted. The white central body houses the internal wiring and earth terminal, and the entire unit weighs approximately 500g, making it portable between work zones without adding significant load to a tool bag.

What's the maximum combined load across all three outlets?

The splitter is rated at 16A at 110V. This is the maximum current draw across all three outlets combined, not per outlet. If running three tools simultaneously, their combined current draw must not exceed 16A total.

Can this be used outdoors?

Yes. The IP44 rating provides protection against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor use on construction sites and in workshops where exposure to rain or hose spray is possible. It is not submersible and should not be left standing in water.

Does it work with standard 110V site transformers?

Yes. The splitter is designed for use with standard 110V centre-tapped-to-earth site transformers commonly used on UK construction sites. The 2-pole + earth configuration is compatible with BS 4343 / IEC 60309 yellow 110V industrial plugs and sockets.

Are the outlet covers spring-loaded?

The yellow covers over each outlet are hinged and provide manual closure when not in use. They protect the contacts from dust and debris between uses and snap back when a plug is inserted, but they are not spring-loaded and must be manually closed after unplugging a tool.
