Description
The Knightsbridge 13A fused module is a grid-compatible electrical component that provides fused circuit protection for fixed appliances, supplied with a replaceable 13A cartridge fuse. The module front plate is finished in antique brass with raised 'FUSE' lettering, and the unit clips into Knightsbridge grid mounting frames from the front without requiring rear access once the frame is installed.
Designed for use in modular grid switch systems, the fused module allows a dedicated 13A fused spur to be integrated into a multi-gang grid plate alongside switches, sockets, dimmers or data modules. The front-clipping mechanism means modules can be swapped or added without removing the entire grid plate from the wall, making future changes simpler than traditional fixed faceplates. The replaceable fuse protects hardwired appliances such as boilers, extractor fans, washing machines or underfloor heating controllers.
The antique brass finish has a darker, aged patina compared to polished or brushed brass, giving a heritage or period aesthetic that pairs with traditional, Arts and Crafts and vintage-industrial interiors. The module body is constructed from ABS with a steel mounting clip, rated IP20 for dry indoor environments and compatible with 230V 50Hz UK mains. The compact 24.8mm width allows multiple modules to sit side-by-side in a grid frame without excessive projection from the wall.

Frequently Asked
What is a grid fused module used for?
A grid fused module provides a fused spur connection for hardwired appliances such as boilers, extractor fans, washing machines or underfloor heating. It clips into a Knightsbridge grid mounting frame alongside other modules to create a custom multi-gang plate.
Are mounting frames included?
No. Grid modules are sold separately from the mounting frames. You need to purchase a compatible Knightsbridge grid frame (available in 1, 2, 3 or 4 module widths) and a grid faceplate to complete the installation.
Can the fuse be replaced?
Yes. The module takes a standard 13A cartridge fuse which can be replaced by removing the front plate. This allows the fuse to be changed without disconnecting the wiring or removing the module from the grid frame.
What back box depth is required?
A minimum 35mm back box depth is needed. The module has a recessed depth of 21.2mm and projects 2.5mm from the front of the grid frame once installed.
