The Knightsbridge 13A 1-gang DP switched socket features a brushed chrome screwless faceplate with a black insert behind the outlet aperture. The double-pole switch isolates both live and neutral lines when switched off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching for high-draw appliances like kettles, heaters and power tools.

Designed for residential, hospitality and office installation, the socket fits a standard 25mm minimum back box depth and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame. This means there are no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed, giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates. The 13A rating handles standard UK appliance loads up to 3,120W per outlet.

The brushed chrome finish on premium grade steel provides a contemporary metallic accent that pairs well with modern, industrial and minimalist interiors. The horizontal brushed texture softens reflections under daylight and conceals minor surface marks better than polished finishes. The black insert behind the chrome faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and gives a defined edge to the outlet aperture. Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the socket and re-clipped without re-wiring.
