Description
The Knightsbridge 10A single circuit track is a 3m length of white aluminium track housing two copper conductors that carry mains power to track-mounted spotlights and pendants. The track arrives with both live and dead end caps fitted, providing termination at both ends of the run and allowing immediate connection to a UK mains supply without additional accessories.
Designed for retail spaces, residential kitchens, galleries and offices where lighting needs to be repositioned or added over time, the track accepts any standard single-circuit track fitting using the three-contact clip system. Spotlights and pendants slide into position along the track and lock with a quarter-turn, making layout changes simple without rewiring. The 10A rating supports up to 2,300W of combined load, enough for 10-15 LED track spots or 4-6 track pendants depending on individual wattage.
The white powder-coated aluminium finish matches standard ceiling paint and the 35mm width with 17mm projection keeps the track visually minimal when surface-mounted. The track can be cut to shorter lengths on-site using a hacksaw if needed, though cuts require new end caps (sold separately). Copper conductors inside the aluminium channel ensure consistent contact as fittings are moved along the track, reducing voltage drop compared to steel conductor alternatives.

Frequently Asked
What fittings work with this track?
Any standard single-circuit track spotlight or pendant using the three-contact clip system will fit. The track is compatible with most UK and European track fittings rated for single-circuit operation, including GU10 and LED spotlights from Knightsbridge and other manufacturers.
Can the track be cut to a shorter length?
Yes. The track can be cut on-site using a hacksaw. New end caps are required for the cut end and are sold separately. The live end cap (with mains connection) cannot be moved, so plan the cut from the dead end of the track.
How is the track mounted?
The track surface-mounts to ceilings or walls using the fixing holes along the top channel. Screws and wall plugs are not included. For ceiling mounting, ensure fixings are secure into joists or use appropriate ceiling anchors for plasterboard.
What's the maximum load?
The track is rated at 10A on 230V, giving a maximum combined load of 2,300W across all fittings on the track. For LED track spots this typically supports 10-15 fittings; for higher-wattage halogen or track pendants, fewer fittings may be needed to stay within the limit.
