Description

The Knightsbridge 10A single circuit track is a 3m length of satin nickel-finished track designed to mount spotlights, pendant adapters and directional fittings along a continuous 230V power rail. The track houses a copper conductor rated at 10A continuous load, allowing multiple track-mounted fittings to be powered from a single ceiling connection point without running separate cables to each light position.

Designed for retail, hospitality and residential installations where lighting positions need to be adjustable or where running multiple ceiling feeds is impractical, the track mounts directly to ceiling joists or suitable backing boards. The 35mm width and 17mm projection sit close to the ceiling plane, making the track suitable for standard height rooms. Track-compatible spotlights and pendants slide into the channel and lock with a quarter-turn mechanism, allowing fittings to be repositioned along the 3m length without re-wiring.

The track is supplied with both live and dead end caps. The live end cap houses the mains connection where the ceiling cable feeds into the track, while the dead end cap seals the opposite terminus. The aluminium body with satin nickel finish provides a neutral metallic appearance that works across contemporary, industrial and transitional interiors. The IP20 rating limits the track to dry indoor locations — kitchens, living rooms, retail spaces and offices where moisture is not a factor.

What fittings are compatible with this track?

The track accepts any Knightsbridge track-mounted spotlight, pendant adapter or directional fitting designed for single circuit track systems. Fittings insert into the channel and lock with a quarter-turn mechanism. Check that the combined load of all fittings on the track does not exceed the 10A rating (approximately 2,300W at 230V).

How is the track powered?

The live end cap houses the mains connection point where a ceiling cable feeds into the track. The track must be wired by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations. The dead end cap seals the opposite end of the track.

Can the track be cut to a shorter length?

Yes. The aluminium track can be cut with a hacksaw to fit shorter ceiling runs. Cut ends must be deburred and sealed with the appropriate end caps. Ensure the copper conductor remains intact and properly insulated after cutting.

Can multiple 3m sections be joined?

Knightsbridge offers track joiners and connectors that allow multiple sections to be linked into longer continuous runs. The total load across all joined sections must not exceed the 10A rating of the conductor.
