What Metal Lux make

The ranges divide neatly by what the glass is doing. Astro hangs curled crystal ribbons in columns and clusters, in fifteen glass colours across two metal finishes. Bolero suspends bubbles of mixed diameter from a round or square plate. Giro and Atom use uniform opal globes on slim arms. Impossible is a woven painted mesh with no glass at all, and Index is a plain LED tube. They are all one maker, but they are not one look.

Italian lighting, and what that means here

Italian lighting brands tend to sell on the glass and the proportion rather than on the technology, and Metal Lux sit squarely in that tradition. Most of the range takes a standard socket — G9, E27, GU10 — so the lamp is yours to choose and yours to replace. If you want sparkle, the crystal ranges scatter light hardest. If you want a quieter fitting, the opal globes give a soft even glow and read as a shape rather than a light source.
