The Knightsbridge OWALL02BKP is a cylindrical outdoor wall light with twin GU10 lamp holders directing light upward and downward from a matt black stainless steel body. A built-in photocell sensor switches the light on automatically at dusk and off at dawn, removing the need for manual switching or separate timer controls. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for UK outdoor installation on exposed walls.

Designed for porches, entrances, garden walls and building facades, the twin-beam configuration casts upward wash light onto the wall surface and downward task light onto the ground or step below. The 170mm height and 60mm diameter give the fitting enough presence to mark an entrance without dominating smaller porch areas. The 98mm projection from the wall clears most door frames and window sills without intruding on access routes.

The body is fabricated from 201 stainless steel with a powder-coated matt black finish that resists fading and corrosion in UK weather conditions. Each lamp holder accepts a standard GU10 bulb up to 20W (bulbs sold separately), allowing choice between halogen for instant full brightness or LED for lower running costs. The clear diffuser at each aperture focuses the beam without softening it, creating defined upward and downward pools of light rather than diffused ambient glow.

How does the photocell sensor work?

The built-in photocell detects ambient light levels and switches the light on automatically when dusk falls, then off again at dawn. No manual switching or separate timer is needed. The sensor sensitivity is factory-set and cannot be adjusted by the user.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes two GU10 bulbs, one for the upward beam and one for the downward beam. Maximum 20W per bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with LED GU10 bulbs at 4-6W and 3000K for outdoor entrance lighting.

Is it suitable for coastal or high-humidity locations?

The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes, and the 201 stainless steel construction with powder-coated finish resists corrosion. For coastal locations with salt exposure, periodic rinsing with fresh water will extend the finish life.

Can the photocell be disabled?

No. The photocell is integrated into the circuit and cannot be bypassed. If manual switching is needed, a separate switched supply to the fitting is required at the installation stage.
