Description
The Knightsbridge TV outlet module is a 25 x 50mm white insert designed for use with euro-module grid faceplates. The module houses a female coaxial socket on the front and a screw terminal on the rear PCB, providing a hard-wired TV aerial connection behind a modular faceplate system. The module is certified to BS 5733, the British Standard for TV and satellite outlet installations.
Designed for residential and light commercial installations where TV aerial points are needed as part of a modular grid system, the module fits Knightsbridge's euro-module faceplates alongside other grid modules such as switches, sockets, data and satellite outlets. The 25 x 50mm form factor is the standard single-width euro-module size, allowing it to be combined in 2-gang, 3-gang or 4-gang faceplate configurations. The rear screw terminal accepts standard coaxial cable and secures both the inner conductor and the braided shield.
The white ABS construction matches the finish of standard Knightsbridge white grid faceplates, giving a consistent appearance across a multi-module installation. The module requires a minimum 25mm back box depth, the same as most UK electrical back boxes. The IP20 rating means the module is suitable for indoor dry locations but not for bathrooms, kitchens or outdoor use where moisture ingress is a risk.

Frequently Asked
What faceplate does this module fit?
The module fits any Knightsbridge euro-module grid faceplate in the 25 x 50mm single-width format. These faceplates are available in 1-gang, 2-gang, 3-gang and 4-gang configurations, allowing multiple modules to be combined in a single faceplate. Search for Knightsbridge grid faceplates at Niori to find compatible frames.
What type of coaxial cable does it accept?
The rear screw terminal accepts standard coaxial cable types used for UK TV aerial installations, typically RG6 or CT100. The terminal clamps both the inner conductor and the braided shield, providing a solid connection without needing separate connector crimps.
Can it be used in bathrooms or kitchens?
No. The IP20 rating means the module is rated for indoor dry locations only. It should not be installed in bathrooms, kitchens, or any location where moisture ingress is likely.
Is the module compatible with satellite connections?
The module uses a standard coaxial socket that physically accepts both TV aerial and satellite F-connectors. However, satellite installations typically require separate satellite outlet modules rated for the higher frequency range. Knightsbridge produces dedicated satellite modules for euro-module grids — search for satellite outlet modules at Niori.
