Description

The Knightsbridge triple USB charger plate provides two USB-C ports and one USB-A port behind a matt black screwless faceplate. The USB-C2 port delivers up to 63W output with PPS and PD3.0 support, sufficient to charge most USB-C laptops when paired with a certified 100W USB-C cable. The USB-C1 port supports PD3.0 at up to 60W, and the USB-A port handles legacy devices at standard USB charging rates.

Designed for hot-desking environments, hotel rooms, coffee shops, reception areas and home offices where multiple users need simultaneous device charging without occupying mains sockets. The plate fits a standard 35mm minimum back box depth and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a metal sub-frame, eliminating visible fixings on the wall surface. A built-in gasket sits behind the faceplate to reduce dust ingress.

When all three ports are in use simultaneously, the power distribution adjusts automatically: USB-C1 and USB-C2 share 45W between them, while USB-A provides 15W, for a combined maximum of 60W across all ports. When only USB-C2 is in use, it delivers the full 63W. This makes the plate versatile enough to charge a laptop and a phone simultaneously, or three phones at typical charging speeds. The matt black finish sits flush with the wall and pairs with contemporary, industrial and minimalist interiors.

The premium-grade steel construction and Class I earthed design meet UK wiring regulations for permanent mains-powered USB charging installations. The IP20 rating makes the plate suitable for dry indoor locations.

What is the maximum output when charging a laptop?

USB-C2 delivers up to 63W when used alone, which is sufficient for most laptops rated at 65W or below. To achieve the full 63W output, use a certified USB-C cable rated for at least 100W (such as the Knightsbridge AVPDCC15). If USB-C1 is used simultaneously, the output splits to 45W on USB-C1 and 18W on USB-C2.

Can all three ports be used at the same time?

Yes. When all three ports are in use, USB-C1 and USB-C2 share 45W between them and USB-A provides 15W, for a combined maximum of 60W. This is enough to charge a laptop at reduced speed while simultaneously charging a phone and a tablet.

What back box depth is required?

A 35mm minimum back box depth is needed for installation. The screwless cover plate adds 4.3mm of projection from the wall once fitted.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the charger and re-clipped without re-wiring.
