Description

Style is a table lamp in cream and antique brass. A cream cone shade held on a brass knuckle at the top of a slim cream post, tipped well over so the mouth faces down and forward. The cone is straight-sided with a sharp rim and a cream lining, and the knuckle is a turned brass barrel that lets the head swing and lock. The post rises from a low round cream base with a second brass collar where the two meet, so the brass shows twice and nowhere else. The cream is matt and the same tone on the shade, the post and the base. The head sits well forward of the base. It measures 12cm across and 33cm tall.

It is a lamp for a side table, a desk or a bedside, close enough to reach the switch from where you sit, and it lights the surface it stands on rather than the whole room. A pair either side of a bed or a sofa reads as deliberate where one alone reads as an afterthought, and two smaller lamps light a room more evenly than one large one.

The holder is E14 and takes up to 25W. It is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms.

An E14 lamp up to 25W. Bulbs are supplied separately so you can choose the brightness and colour you want.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, on a compatible dimmer, provided the lamp you fit is a dimmable one. The fitting has no dimmer of its own.

Can it go in a bathroom?

No. It is IP20, which covers dry interior rooms only. A bathroom needs IP44 or better.
