Description

Stepp is a floor lamp in sand and antique brass. A wide, very shallow sand-coloured disc that flares out almost flat and turns down at its rim, with a small crown of brass fins at its centre standing above the face. Below the disc a short cone drops to a very slim stem in the same sand tone, which runs the full height to a flat round disc base. The disc shields the lamp completely from above, so what reaches the room is bounced off it. The sand is a soft warm beige, matt and even on every part. The stem is deliberately thin. It measures 46cm across and 140cm tall, in metal.

It stands beside a chair or at the end of a sofa, where it puts one pool of light exactly where it is needed without lighting the whole space. That is what a floor lamp is for: it takes the reading light off the ceiling and puts it at shoulder height, so the room can be lit softly and still be worked in.

The holder is E27 and takes up to 28W. It is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms.

An E27 lamp up to 28W. Bulbs are supplied separately so you can choose the brightness and colour you want.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, on a compatible dimmer, provided the lamp you fit is a dimmable one. The fitting has no dimmer of its own.

Can it go in a bathroom?

No. It is IP20, which covers dry interior rooms only. A bathroom needs IP44 or better.
