Description
This Knightsbridge square track spotlight is a black aluminium spotlight head with a GU10 fitting, designed to clip onto standard track lighting systems. The cylindrical head measures 50mm square at the base with a 128mm projection from the track when fitted, housing a single GU10 lamp (sold separately, up to 50W maximum). The head tilts 80° and rotates 350° on a ball joint, allowing light to be directed at walls, artworks, or products.
Designed for accent lighting in retail, gallery, kitchen and living room installations where track systems are already fitted, the spotlight pairs with halogen or LED GU10 lamps depending on the required beam angle and colour temperature. The plastic track connector clips directly onto two-circuit or single-circuit track rails without tools, and the fitting draws power from the track rather than requiring separate wiring to each spotlight.
The black powder-coated aluminium finish provides a low-profile appearance against dark ceilings and track rails, and the compact square head minimises visual clutter when multiple spotlights are fitted to the same track run. Dimmability depends on the GU10 lamp fitted — pairing with a dimmable LED GU10 and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer allows full brightness control. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The spotlight takes a standard GU10 lamp up to 50W maximum. GU10 lamps are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-7W LED GU10 in either warm white (2700K-3000K) for accent lighting or cool white (4000K) for retail display.
Is it compatible with all track systems?
The plastic track connector fits standard two-circuit and single-circuit track rails commonly used in UK residential and commercial installations. Check that your existing track rail accepts clip-on spotlight heads before ordering.
Can it be dimmed?
Dimming depends entirely on the GU10 lamp fitted. If you fit a dimmable LED GU10 and pair it with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer on the track circuit, the spotlight will dim. Non-dimmable GU10 lamps will not dim and may flicker if connected to a dimmer.
How far does the head tilt and rotate?
The spotlight head tilts up to 80° from vertical and rotates 350° horizontally on the ball joint, giving near-full directional control for aiming light at specific surfaces or objects.
