Description

The SARA is a recessed LED downlight with switchable wattage (15W, 20W or 25W) and switchable colour temperature (3000K, 4000K or 5000K), built into a die-cast aluminium housing with a white powder-coated finish. The COB LED module sits behind a clear glass front, and the entire assembly rotates 350 degrees with a 40-degree tilt angle, allowing the beam to be directed towards walls, displays or specific work zones.

Designed for commercial installations requiring flexible task or accent lighting — retail, hospitality, offices, galleries — the SARA fits a 140mm ceiling cut-out and requires a minimum 160mm void above the ceiling. Both wattage and CCT are selected using switches on the driver housing before installation, so one SKU can be adapted to different zones in the same project without stocking multiple variants. The plug-and-play connectors simplify wiring and allow the fitting to be disconnected for ceiling access or relamping.

The die-cast aluminium body dissipates heat efficiently, contributing to the 50,000-hour L70B50 rating and supporting the 5-year warranty. The fitting is Class II (double-insulated, no earth required) and rated IP20 for indoor dry locations. It is not dimmable. An optional emergency conversion kit (EMKIT2) is available separately for installations requiring maintained or non-maintained emergency lighting compliance.

The lumen output ranges from 1,440 lm at 15W/3000K up to 2,605 lm at 25W/5000K, giving a system efficacy of up to 140 lm/W depending on the selected combination. The 45-degree beam angle suits general downlighting and gentle accent applications rather than narrow spotlighting. CRI is rated above 80, which is acceptable for most commercial interiors where colour rendering matters but is not critical.

How do I change the wattage or colour temperature?

Both settings are controlled by switches on the driver housing, accessible before the fitting is installed. Once the ceiling is closed, changing these settings requires removing the fitting from the ceiling to access the driver. The wattage can be set to 15W, 20W or 25W, and the CCT to 3000K (warm white), 4000K (neutral white) or 5000K (cool white).

What ceiling void depth is needed?

A minimum 160mm void above the ceiling is required to accommodate the 110mm fitting depth plus clearance for the driver and heat dissipation. The cut-out diameter is 140mm.

Is the SARA dimmable?

No. The constant-current driver does not support dimming. If dimming is required, consider a different downlight model with a compatible driver.

Can it be used in bathrooms or outdoor covered areas?

No. The IP20 rating limits the SARA to indoor dry locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms (which require IP44 or higher in zones 1-2) or any outdoor application, even under cover.
