Description

The Knightsbridge PWRCC is a recessed plaster wall light with a trimless installation, set into the wall so the white gypsum plaster faceplate sits flush with the surrounding surface. A circular aperture in the centre houses a single GU10 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately), creating a soft wash of light across the wall or ceiling when the lamp is recessed into the cavity.

Designed for corridors, staircases, bathrooms (IP20 zones only) and feature walls where a discreet light source is needed without visible hardware or projecting fixtures, the fitting can be installed as a single unit or in a series along a wall run. The 210x250mm rectangular cut-out sits behind the plaster face, with a 78mm recessed depth requiring a minimum cavity clearance of 80mm. The trimless design means no visible bezel or edge frame — the plaster faceplate meets the wall directly.

The natural gypsum plaster construction can be painted with good-quality emulsion to match the surrounding wall colour, making the fitting itself nearly invisible when off. The Class II double-insulated construction means no earth connection is required during installation. Dimmer compatibility depends on the GU10 bulb chosen — pair with a dimmable LED GU10 and a compatible dimmer for variable output.

What cavity depth is needed for installation?

The fitting requires a minimum 78mm recessed depth behind the wall surface, so a cavity clearance of at least 80mm is recommended. The 210x250mm cut-out box sits within the cavity.

Can the plaster be painted?

Yes. The natural gypsum plaster can be painted with good-quality emulsion to match the surrounding wall. Allow the paint to dry fully before switching the light on to avoid heat damage to fresh paint.

Is this dimmable?

Dimming depends on the GU10 bulb installed. Pair the fitting with a dimmable LED GU10 and a compatible dimmer switch for variable light output. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim.

What bulb does it take?

The fitting takes a single GU10 bulb up to 35W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users install a 5-7W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient corridor or staircase lighting.
