Description

The QTX WR1 is a wireless remote control system for QTX fog and haze machines, operating on 433MHz over a 30-metre range. The system consists of a handheld transmitter with four numbered channel buttons and a magnetic receiver unit that attaches to the fog machine. Each receiver is powered by the host machine via its control cable, eliminating the need for separate batteries or mains power for the receiver.

Designed for multi-machine installations in clubs, theatres, event spaces and mobile DJ rigs, the WR1 allows up to four fog or haze machines to be controlled independently from a single transmitter. Each receiver is set to a specific channel using a four-position DIP switch, so channel 1 might trigger the stage-left fogger while channel 3 triggers the upstage hazer without affecting the other units. The transmitter includes a keychain attachment for portability.

The receiver unit displays two LED indicators: one shows machine-ready status (the fog machine has reached operating temperature), the other shows heating status (still warming up). The magnetic base on the receiver allows it to be attached directly to the metal chassis of compatible QTX fog machines (QTFX-900, QTFX-1500) and haze machines (Hazer-FX900, Hazer-FX1000) without tools or fixing screws. The 30-metre operating range covers most small-to-medium venue dimensions, though obstacles like metal structures and thick walls will reduce effective range.

The transmitter measures 80 x 30 x 47mm and the receiver 65 x 40 x 15mm, with a combined system weight of 100g. Additional receivers can be purchased separately to add more machines to the same transmitter.
