Description

QTX Vapour Blast Effect Fluid is a 5-litre bottle of specialist smoke fluid formulated to produce CO2-type blast effects in heater-based smoke machines. When heated and released, the fluid creates a dense white vapour cloud that disperses quickly across a broad area before dissipating, replicating the visual effect of compressed CO2 canisters without the logistical constraints or regulatory restrictions that CO2 imposes.

Designed for event production, theatre, live music venues, nightclubs and film sets where rapid atmospheric effects are needed, the fluid works in vertical smoke machines and compatible heater-type foggers. The fast dispersion characteristic means the vapour covers a stage or floor area within seconds of release, then clears rapidly rather than lingering as a persistent haze. This makes it suitable for timed cues and scenes where the effect needs to appear and disappear on demand.

The fluid conforms to REACH directive EU/2015/830 and is a non-toxic water-based solution. The high-density formulation produces a thicker initial cloud than standard fog fluids, while the low stability rating means the vapour breaks down and disperses faster than long-hang atmospheric fluids. The 5-litre container provides multiple uses depending on machine output settings, with most heater-type foggers consuming 50-150ml per blast depending on duration and intensity.

Frequently Asked

What machines is this fluid compatible with?

QTX Vapour Blast Effect Fluid is designed for heater-type smoke machines and vertical foggers. It is not suitable for haze machines or low-lying dry ice-style foggers. Check your machine's manual for fluid compatibility before use.

How does this differ from CO2 blast effects?

This fluid replicates the visual appearance of CO2 blasts — a dense white cloud that disperses quickly — but uses a heated water-based vapour rather than compressed gas. It avoids the cost, storage and refill logistics of CO2 canisters, and can be used in venues where compressed gas canisters are restricted or prohibited.

How long does the vapour last before clearing?

The low stability rating means the vapour disperses and dissipates within seconds to a minute depending on room ventilation, ceiling height and machine output. This is faster than standard atmospheric fog fluids, which are designed to linger.

Is the fluid safe for indoor use?

Yes. The fluid is non-toxic and conforms to REACH directive EU/2015/830. As with all fog fluids, ensure adequate ventilation during use and avoid prolonged direct inhalation of concentrated vapour.

Shipping & Returns

Free worldwide delivery

Free worldwide delivery on all orders over £99. International orders for third-party brand products may be subject to an additional courier surcharge based on volumetric weight, particularly on larger lighting fixtures — if a surcharge applies, our team will email you with the amount before dispatch and you can proceed or cancel for a full refund. See full delivery terms.

Returns

30-day returns window from delivery. As all our products are electrical or lighting goods, returned items must be inspected and recertified by a qualified electrician before resale — the cost of this inspection (25–40% of the item value) is deducted from your refund. Customers pay return shipping. Made-to-order, special-order and clearance items cannot be returned. See full returns policy.
