Description

The QTX QTFX-2000 MkII is a 2000W fog machine designed for large-area fog coverage in nightclubs, stages, amusement parks and event venues. The 2000W heating element produces approximately 40,000 cubic feet (1133m³) of fog per minute, with a reheat time of 8-10 minutes between full-output cycles. Three control modes are built in: standalone timer operation, wireless remote (433MHz, included), and 1-channel DMX via XLR in/out.

The machine uses a 5-litre removable fluid tank that can be lifted out for refilling at a sink, or swapped entirely for a standard 5L Euro bottle of fog fluid to eliminate spills during fluid changes. QTX recommends using either their HQ Fog Fluid (160.583UK) or Premium Fog Fluid (160.589UK) for optimal output and to avoid residue build-up in the heating block. The machine draws 230Vac mains via an IEC socket and is protected by a 5x20mm F10A fuse.

Intelligent temperature control maintains consistent output across extended run periods and prevents overheating during continuous operation. Anti-jamming technology reduces the risk of fluid pump blockages that can occur with lower-grade fog fluids or prolonged idle periods. The unit measures 670 x 350 x 260mm and weighs 10kg unfilled, with integrated carry handles on both sides for transport between venues or storage positions.

Frequently Asked

What's included in the box?

The machine ships with a 5-litre removable fluid tank, a wired timer remote with 5m cable, a wireless remote (433MHz), and the mains IEC power cable. Fog fluid is sold separately.

What fog fluid should be used?

QTX recommends their HQ Fog Fluid (160.583UK) or Premium Fog Fluid (160.589UK). Using third-party or glycol-heavy fluids may cause residue build-up in the heating block and void the warranty.

How is the machine controlled?

Three control modes are available: standalone timer operation using the wired timer remote, wireless remote control via the included 433MHz transmitter, or 1-channel DMX via XLR in/out for integration with lighting desks.

How long does the fog last once output?

Hang time depends on venue ventilation, humidity and fog fluid type. In still air with low ventilation, fog typically persists for 3-5 minutes before dissipating. High air movement or air conditioning shortens hang time significantly.
