Description

QTX Premium Fog Fluid is a 5-litre water-based fog machine fluid formulated to produce dense, slow-dispersing fog clouds in machines rated between 1000W and 3000W. The fluid is non-toxic, leaves no oily residue on surfaces or equipment, and conforms to REACH directive EU/2015/830 for chemical safety in professional and entertainment environments.

Designed for stage productions, event venues, DJ setups, and Halloween effects where thick, visible fog is needed for atmosphere or lighting effects, the fluid works with any make of fog machine within the stated power range. The slow dispersion characteristic means fog hangs in the air longer before dissipating, reducing the need for continuous operation and extending fluid use over longer events.

The clear liquid produces a deep white fog cloud when heated and vaporised. The water-based formulation avoids the sticky residue associated with oil-based fluids, making it suitable for indoor venues where equipment, floors and seating need to remain clean. The 5-litre container provides approximately 5-8 hours of continuous fog output depending on machine wattage and duty cycle, with most users refilling mid-event on extended productions.

Frequently Asked

What fog machines is this compatible with?

The fluid works with any make of fog machine rated between 1000W and 3000W. QTX specifically recommends it for their QTFX-1000, QTFX-2000 and QTFX-X3 models, but it is compatible with equivalent machines from other brands within the same power range.

Does it leave residue on floors or equipment?

No. The water-based formulation evaporates cleanly without leaving oily or sticky residue on surfaces, making it suitable for indoor venues, stages and event spaces where clean-up is a concern.

How long does 5 litres last?

Runtime depends on machine wattage and duty cycle. A 1000W machine on continuous output uses approximately 600-800ml per hour, giving 6-8 hours from a 5L container. A 3000W machine on continuous output uses approximately 1.2-1.5L per hour, giving 3-4 hours. Most event setups run fog intermittently, extending total runtime significantly.

Is it safe for indoor use?

Yes. The fluid is non-toxic and conforms to REACH directive EU/2015/830. However, as with any fog fluid, ensure adequate ventilation in enclosed spaces and avoid prolonged direct inhalation of concentrated fog output.
