Description
QTX High Quality Haze Fluid is a 5-litre container of water-based haze machine fluid formulated to produce a fine, deep-white mist with slow dispersion and high density. The fluid is designed for use with all makes of haze machine and is rated non-toxic, conforming to REACH directive EU/2015/830.
Haze fluid is used in entertainment, event and AV installation contexts to make light beams visible. Stage lighting, moving heads, lasers and architectural lighting all become more defined when projected through a haze layer. Unlike fog fluid, haze produces a fine, persistent mist rather than thick billowing clouds, allowing lights to cut through the atmosphere without obscuring sightlines or overwhelming smaller venues.
This QTX formula leaves no oily residue on floors, surfaces or equipment after use, making it suitable for repeat installations in hired venues, studios and performance spaces where post-event cleaning is a concern. The slow dispersion rating means the haze layer remains visible for longer between refills, reducing the frequency of machine activation during live events.

Frequently Asked
Is this compatible with fog machines?
No. Haze fluid is formulated specifically for haze machines, which operate at lower temperatures and use a different heating element design to fog machines. Using haze fluid in a fog machine can cause poor output or damage the heating block.
How long does the haze layer last?
The slow dispersion rating means the haze remains visible for longer than fast-dispersion formulas. Actual persistence depends on room size, ventilation and air movement, but in a closed venue with minimal air conditioning the haze typically remains effective for 20-40 minutes between refills.
Does it leave residue on equipment?
No. QTX haze fluid is rated as leaving no residue, so it does not coat floors, mirrors, lighting fixtures or surfaces with an oily film after use. This makes it suitable for hired venues and studios where post-event cleaning is required.
Is it safe to use indoors?
Yes. The fluid is non-toxic and conforms to REACH directive EU/2015/830, making it safe for indoor use in ventilated spaces. As with all haze and fog fluids, adequate ventilation is recommended during extended use to prevent mist concentration from affecting visibility or comfort.
