QTX High Grade Fog Fluid 1L - Medium Density

QTX High Grade Fog Fluid is a 1-litre water-based fog solution formulated for fog machines rated up to 900W. The fluid produces medium-density white fog with slow dispersion, meaning the fog hangs in the air longer than standard-grade fluids before dissipating. The fluid itself is orange in colour before vaporisation, which helps distinguish it from other grades in the QTX range during storage and handling.

Designed for mobile DJs, event venues, theatres and home parties where atmospheric fog effects are needed without heavy residue or strong odour, the fluid conforms to REACH EC directive 91/155/EC for non-toxic solutions. The 1-litre bottle size suits smaller events, rehearsal spaces and personal fog machine use where a 5-litre canister would be excessive. The medium density provides visible coverage in spaces up to 100m² without overwhelming smaller rooms.

The slow dispersion characteristic means fog effects last 3-5 minutes in still air before thinning noticeably, compared to 1-2 minutes for standard-grade fluids. This reduces the frequency of fog machine bursts needed to maintain coverage during a set or scene. The water-based formula leaves no oily residue on floors, walls or equipment after vaporisation, which matters in venues where cleaning between events is a concern. The bottle cap seals tightly to prevent evaporation during storage between uses.

What wattage fog machines does this work with?

This fluid is formulated for fog machines rated up to 900W. Using it in higher-wattage machines may reduce fog density or cause uneven vaporisation. For machines above 900W, QTX produces separate high-output formulations.

Why is the fluid orange if the fog is white?

The orange colouration is a marker added by QTX to help users identify the grade during storage and handling. The fluid vaporises into white fog regardless of the base colour — the colouration does not affect the fog appearance.

How long does the fog last once produced?

The slow dispersion rating means fog typically hangs in the air for 3-5 minutes in still air before thinning noticeably, longer than standard-grade fluids. Airflow from HVAC systems or open doors will reduce hang time.

Is this safe for indoor use?

Yes. The fluid is non-toxic and conforms to REACH EC directive 91/155/EC. It leaves no residue and produces no harmful fumes when used at the correct machine temperature. Ensure adequate ventilation as with any fog effect.
