QTX HAZYR-PRO Haze Generator 1000W - Flight Case

The QTX HAZYR-PRO is a 1000W haze generator built into a flight case, designed to produce high-volume haze output on demand in large spaces such as concert venues, conference halls and exhibitions. The unit delivers approximately 5000 cubic feet (142m³) of haze per minute using an instant thermal design that responds quickly to control signals without the lag associated with conventional heating systems.

Operated via DMX512 signal or in auto-timer mode from the onboard digital control panel, the HAZYR-PRO allows precise control over haze volume and duration. The digital control panel is removable, enabling remote control from front-of-house positions or anywhere within DMX cable reach. A DC fan provides variable air-flow control, letting operators adjust how far the haze disperses from the unit. The 2-litre fluid tank gives extended run time between refills during multi-hour events.

The flight case construction protects the haze generator during transport and storage, with metal corner protectors and reinforced edges that handle the wear of regular load-ins and load-outs. At 10.45kg and 435 x 390 x 220mm, the unit is portable enough for single-operator handling but substantial enough to stay stable on stage or in a truss position. The warm-up time of 30-40 seconds means the machine is ready to use shortly after power-on.

QTX recommends high-grade haze fluid (160.591UK) for optimal output and to maintain the heating element and pump. The unit operates on standard UK 220-240Vac mains via an IEC connector and draws 1000W at full output. The three DMX channels allow independent control of haze volume, fan speed and timer settings when integrated into a lighting desk or DMX controller.

What is the difference between haze and fog?

Haze creates a fine, uniform suspension that hangs in the air for extended periods, making it suitable for enhancing lighting effects without obscuring visibility. Fog produces denser clouds that dissipate more quickly and can obscure sightlines. The HAZYR-PRO is a haze generator, not a fog machine.

Can the control panel be operated remotely?

Yes. The onboard digital control panel is removable and can be positioned away from the flight case body for remote control. Alternatively, the unit accepts DMX512 input for integration with lighting desks and DMX controllers.

What fluid should be used?

QTX recommends high-grade haze fluid, specifically product code 160.591UK. Using lower-grade fluids or fog fluids can damage the heating element and pump, and may void the warranty.

How long does the 2-litre tank last?

Run time depends on output settings. At maximum continuous output of 5000 cu ft/min, the 2-litre tank will deplete faster than when running intermittent bursts or at lower fan speeds. Typical events refill the tank once or twice during a multi-hour show.
