QTX FLARE-1000 Vertical LED Fog Machine - 1000W with RGB LEDs

The QTX FLARE-1000 is a 1000W vertical fog machine that projects a column of fog upwards from the top of the housing rather than horizontally. Six 1W tri-colour RGB LEDs ring the output nozzle and illuminate the fog as it rises, creating a multi-colour flare effect visible from all sides. The machine generates approximately 170m³ of fog per minute from a 1-litre internal tank.

Designed for mobile DJs, small-to-medium live music venues, theatre productions and nightclub installations, the FLARE-1000 operates via RF wireless remote or DMX512 control. The RF remote (included) triggers fog bursts and cycles through LED colour sequences without needing line-of-sight to the machine. DMX control provides 7 channels for precise timing of fog output, LED colour mixing and automated programming. The vertical output makes the machine suitable for placing at the rear of a stage, in front of a DJ booth or within a crowd space where horizontal fog projection would obstruct sightlines.

The 1000W heating element brings the machine to operating temperature in 3-5 minutes from switch-on. The 1-litre fluid capacity gives approximately 8-12 minutes of continuous output depending on burst length and interval, and the tank refills via a screw cap on the top panel without needing to power down. The RF remote operates on 433MHz and the machine accepts standard IEC mains input (220-240Vac 50Hz). The metal housing measures 315 x 215 x 170mm and weighs 3.69kg, making it portable for mobile entertainers working multi-venue bookings.

What fluid does the FLARE-1000 use?

The machine uses standard water-based fog fluid. QTX and other manufacturers produce compatible fluids in various densities. The 1-litre tank capacity gives approximately 8-12 minutes of continuous output depending on burst settings.

Can it be operated without DMX?

Yes. The included RF wireless remote triggers fog bursts and cycles through LED colour sequences without needing DMX or line-of-sight. DMX provides more precise control over fog timing and LED colour mixing but is not required for basic operation.

How long does it take to warm up?

The 1000W heating element brings the machine to operating temperature in 3-5 minutes from switch-on. An indicator light on the control panel shows when the machine is ready to produce fog.
