Description

The QTX FH-700 is a 700W fog and haze machine with adjustable output control and a built-in rotary fan. The flow rate and fan speed adjust independently, allowing the unit to produce either thick, low-lying fog effects or fine, sustained haze depending on the application. A 5m wired timer remote with manual and continuous modes controls the output bursts from a distance.

Designed for mobile DJs, small-to-medium nightclub installations, laser shows and theatre productions, the FH-700 heats to working temperature in 5-8 minutes and produces approximately 170m³ (6,000 cubic feet) of fog or haze per minute. The 2.5-litre removable tank provides extended run time without frequent refills, and the anti-jamming pipe technology reduces blockages during continuous operation. The metal housing adds durability for regular transport and installation.

The 230Vac IEC mains input fits standard UK kettle-style power cables. The intelligent microcomputer maintains working temperature during operation, reducing reheat delays between output bursts. QTX recommends high-grade haze fluid for this machine (Niori stock the compatible 160.591UK fluid separately). The unit measures 400 x 215 x 210mm and weighs 5.3kg, making it portable for mobile setups while being substantial enough for fixed installation.

Frequently Asked

What's the difference between fog and haze mode?

Fog mode produces thick, visible bursts of low-lying fog that dissipate relatively quickly — used for dramatic effect entrances, reveals and scene changes. Haze mode produces a fine, sustained atmospheric mist that remains airborne longer, commonly used to make laser beams and stage lighting visible without obscuring performers or the audience.

What fluid does it take?

The FH-700 requires high-grade haze fluid. QTX recommends their own fluid (Niori stock 160.591UK separately). Using lower-grade fluids or standard fog fluid can cause blockages and reduce the lifespan of the heating element.

How long does the 2.5L tank last?

Run time depends on the output setting and duty cycle. On continuous maximum output at 170m³/min the tank empties quickly, but in typical DJ or theatre use with intermittent bursts controlled by the timer remote, a full tank can last several hours.

Does the remote need batteries?

The wired timer remote connects directly to the machine via a 5m cable and draws power from the unit — no separate batteries are required.
