The QTX Derby9 is a compact LED derby effect light housing nine 3W LEDs in nine different colours—red, green, blue, amber, yellow, purple, warm white, cool white and UV—split through precision optics to project rotating multi-colour beam patterns across walls and ceilings. The unit measures 200 x 162 x 140mm and weighs 1.1kg, making it portable enough for mobile DJ setups while delivering wide area coverage from a single fixture.

Designed for mobile discos, small stage shows, bars and party venues, the Derby9 operates in three modes: DMX512 via 3-pin XLR for integration into larger lighting rigs, internal auto programs that cycle through pre-set colour and rotation sequences, and sound activation that responds to music via a built-in microphone. The included infrared remote allows program selection and speed adjustment without accessing the rear panel. Power draw is 30W on 220-240Vac mains.

The matte black metal housing includes a carry handle and mounting bracket with adjustable tilt, allowing the unit to be floor-mounted, rigged overhead or clamped to a lighting stand. The nine-colour LED array provides a broader palette than standard RGB derbies, with the addition of amber, yellow, purple, warm white, cool white and UV expanding the available colour combinations. Seven-channel DMX control enables independent colour selection, rotation speed and strobe effects when linked to a DMX desk.
