QTX 800W LED Snow Machine - 6x 1W RGB LEDs

The QTX 800W LED snow machine generates a continuous blizzard of foam particles at a rate of 8m³ per minute, illuminated by six 1W RGB LEDs mounted in the front aperture. The machine converts snow fluid from a removable 1.2-litre tank into airborne foam using an 800W fan, while the LED array adds programmable colour wash to the snowfall effect. Both wired and RF remote controls are included in the package.

Designed for small to mid-sized indoor events, theatre productions, club nights and seasonal installations, the machine mounts to standard lighting stands or trusses via the included adjustable bracket. The wired remote provides basic snow on/off control, while the 433MHz RF remote adds wireless RGB colour selection and intensity control over a typical 15-20m range indoors. The removable fluid tank allows refilling without moving the machine from its rigging position.

The white metal housing measures 345 x 190 x 200mm and weighs 3.47kg when the tank is empty, light enough for single-person rigging onto overhead truss or a floor stand positioned 2-3m above the audience. The 800W fan output is sufficient to project snow particles 3-4m horizontally in still air, with actual coverage varying by room ventilation and ceiling height. The RGB LEDs can run independently of the snow effect, allowing the unit to double as a low-level colour wash fixture when snow output is not needed.

QTX recommends use with their own-brand snow fluid (SKUs 160.578UK and 160.579UK) for optimal particle consistency and machine longevity. The IEC power inlet accepts standard UK kettle-style mains leads, and the F5A fuse is user-replaceable. The RF remote requires a 23A 12V battery (not supplied). Typical warm-up time from cold is 2-3 minutes before the machine reaches operating temperature and can produce snow.

What fluid does it use?

The machine requires dedicated snow fluid, not standard fog fluid. QTX recommends their own-brand snow fluid (SKUs 160.578UK and 160.579UK). Using incorrect fluid can damage the pump and void warranty.

How long does a full tank last?

At continuous output of 8m³ per minute, the 1.2-litre tank typically provides 8-12 minutes of run time depending on ambient temperature and humidity. For longer events, refill the removable tank between sets or rig with a second machine.

Can the LEDs run without the snow effect?

Yes. The RF remote allows independent control of the RGB LED array, so the machine can be used as a low-level colour wash fixture when snow output is not needed.

What's the warm-up time?

The machine takes 2-3 minutes to reach operating temperature from cold before it can produce snow. The LED array operates immediately on power-up.
