Description

The QTX 2x50W High Power LED Wash Light combines two 50W white COB LEDs in a compact metal housing with 6-channel DMX control and linear dimming. Each COB LED projects a 40° beam angle, providing even wash coverage across medium-throw distances without the colour separation or beam fragmentation typical of multi-chip arrays.

Designed for small to medium venues, mobile DJ setups, and theatre productions where bright white wash is needed without the weight and bulk of larger fixtures, the unit measures 270x135x125mm and weighs 1.52kg. The dual COB configuration allows independent control of each LED via DMX, enabling split-zone effects, asymmetric washes, and smooth cross-fading between the two sources. The linear dimming curve supports precise fade timing for theatre cues and live performance transitions.

The full-metal powder-coated housing dissipates heat through an internal fan, maintaining stable output during extended operation at full power. The unit draws 100W at 110-240Vac on a standard IEC mains input, protected by an F3AL 250Vac fuse. Mounting brackets on either side of the housing allow floor placement, low-level truss mounting, or rigging from overhead bars. The white LED output pairs cleanly with colour-mixing fixtures in the same rig and provides neutral fill light for video recording environments where accurate colour rendering matters.

Frequently Asked

What DMX channels does it use?

The fixture uses 6 DMX channels. The exact channel assignment (dimmer, strobe, individual LED control) is detailed in the product manual linked in the Downloads section above.

Can it be used without DMX control?

Yes. The fixture supports standalone operation with manual dimming and built-in programs accessible via the control panel on the rear of the unit. DMX is optional and used for integrated control within a larger lighting rig.

What's the throw distance for the 40° beam angle?

At 40°, the beam covers approximately 3.5m width when positioned 5m from the target surface. This makes it suitable for small to medium stages, dance floors, and backdrop wash applications in venues with ceiling heights of 3-6m.

Is the white output suitable for video recording?

White COB LEDs typically have a high CRI (colour rendering index) compared to RGB mixing, making them more suitable for video work where accurate skin tones and object colours matter. Exact CRI specification is not provided, but COB technology generally performs better than multi-chip arrays for this application.
