QTX 192 Channel DMX Lighting Controller

The QTX 192 is a compact DMX lighting controller managing up to 12 fixtures with 16 channels each, delivering 192 channels of DMX control in a single desktop unit. The controller provides 23 banks with 8 programmable scenes per bank, allowing 184 separate lighting states to be stored and recalled. Six chase sequences can be programmed and triggered in sound-activated, auto-run or manual modes.

Designed for small theatre productions, mobile DJs, function rooms and venues running 6-12 moving heads or LED wash fixtures, the controller suits setups where a laptop-based system would be impractical. The front panel organises controls by fixture, with dedicated faders for each of the 12 fixture slots and channel assignment buttons beneath. A central LED display shows the active scene number, chase speed and step count.

An integrated microphone on the front panel allows chase sequences to sync with music or speech, with adjustable sensitivity to prevent false triggers from ambient noise. The controller runs on a 12Vdc 1000mA supply (included) and outputs standard DMX512 via a 3-pin XLR connection on the rear panel. At 260 x 125 x 50mm and 876g the unit fits into most DJ kit bags and can be desk-mounted or placed on a flat surface during operation.

How many fixtures can this control?

The controller handles up to 12 fixtures, with each fixture assigned up to 16 DMX channels. This suits most moving heads, LED wash lights and effect fixtures which typically use 8-16 channels each.

Can scenes be triggered by audio?

Yes. The integrated microphone allows chase sequences to sync with music or other audio. The sensitivity is adjustable to prevent false triggers from background noise. Scenes themselves are recalled manually, but chases can run in sound-activated mode.

What's the difference between banks and scenes?

Each bank holds 8 programmable scenes. With 23 banks available, you can store 184 separate lighting states total. Banks are selected first, then the individual scene within that bank is recalled using the scene buttons.

Does it come with the power supply?

Yes. The controller includes a 12Vdc 1000mA mains adapter. A 3-pin XLR DMX cable to connect to your first fixture is not included and must be sourced separately.
