Description
The Picasso is a 44.5cm sculptural pendant light formed from layered ribbon-like bands wrapped around a central stem, finished in matt white. The horizontal bands sit at staggered diameters and angles, breaking up the form so light escapes through the gaps between layers as well as through the open top and bottom. A single E27 lamp socket sits within the structure on a 150cm black cable.
Suited to dining tables, kitchen islands, stairwells and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Picasso works as both a decorative object and a source of diffuse ambient light. The 59cm height and 44.5cm diameter give it real presence in a room without filling the space, and the 150cm cable can be shortened on installation to set the pendant 700-800mm above a dining surface or higher in an open stairwell.
The shade is built from formed plastic bands finished in a low-sheen matt white that reads as a sculptural object when unlit and softens into a glowing form once switched on. Light exits through the layered openings, casting horizontal shadow lines onto nearby walls and ceilings. The all-white finish keeps the fitting visually quiet against pale ceilings, while the contrast against darker walls or coloured backdrops makes the layered structure more pronounced.
Hung as a single fitting over a console or side table, or grouped in twos and threes at staggered drops over a longer dining table or kitchen island, the Picasso suits modern, Scandinavian and minimal interiors where form and material restraint matter more than ornament.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Picasso takes one E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. An E27 GLS filament bulb suits the sculptural form well, with the visible filament adding warmth through the gaps between the bands. A frosted or opal E27 LED also works for a softer, more diffuse glow.
What ceiling height is needed?
At 59cm tall on a 150cm cable, the Picasso suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher. The cable can be shortened on installation, so for a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, and for a kitchen island around 800-900mm above the worktop.
Can it be hung in clusters?
Yes. Two or three Picasso pendants can be hung at staggered drops over a long dining table, kitchen island or stairwell void. Each pendant requires its own ceiling outlet, or a multi-outlet ceiling plate fitted by an electrician.
How is the shade cleaned?
The matt white plastic bands are best dusted with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For marks, a barely-damp cloth with mild soapy water is acceptable. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, which can dull the matt finish.
