Description

The Picasso is a sculptural pendant light built from a single ribbon of pink-finished plastic that spirals around a central vertical stem. The shade measures 44.5cm in diameter and 59cm tall, with the ribbon coiling outward in overlapping bands that conceal the E27 lamp holder at the core while letting light spill through the gaps between each turn.

Suspended from a 150cm black cable, the Picasso suits bedrooms, nurseries, dressing rooms and reading corners where a tonal accent is wanted alongside ambient light. The cable can be shortened on installation to suit ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, and the pendant works best hung at eye level over a side table, bedside or low console rather than recessed against a high ceiling.

The matt pink finish is consistent across the outer face of the ribbon, with the inner surfaces catching warm reflected light from the bulb to deepen the colour towards the centre. The plastic construction keeps the overall weight low, allowing the layered shade to be supported on a single suspension cable without a counterweight. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the spiral; a warm-white filament or globe LED suits the soft tonal character of the shade.
