Description
The Knightsbridge OWALL2BCP is an outdoor up-and-down wall light with an integrated photocell sensor, housed in a brushed chrome 201 stainless steel cylinder measuring 60mm diameter by 170mm tall. The photocell automatically switches the light on at dusk and off at dawn, removing the need for manual control or separate timer switches. Two GU10 bulb holders inside the cylinder direct light both upward and downward through clear diffuser openings at each end.
Designed for residential and commercial exterior lighting, the fitting suits doorways, porches, garage entrances and building facades where automatic wall-washing light is needed without PIR motion detection. The IP54 rating protects the internal components from dust ingress and water splashes, making the fitting suitable for exposed UK weather conditions including rain and coastal spray. The 98mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting compact enough for narrow walkways and tight corners where deeper fittings would obstruct.
The brushed chrome finish over 201-grade stainless steel resists corrosion and tarnishing better than painted aluminium alternatives, maintaining its appearance through repeated wet-dry cycles. The clear diffusers at top and bottom allow the full GU10 beam angle to wash the wall surface both above and below the fitting, creating two overlapping pools of light that define building edges and architectural features after dark. Bulbs are sold separately, allowing choice of LED wattage and colour temperature to suit the application.

Frequently Asked
How does the photocell sensor work?
The integrated photocell detects ambient light levels and automatically switches the light on when daylight drops below a pre-set threshold (typically at dusk) and off again when daylight returns (dawn). No manual switching or timer programming is needed once the mains supply is connected.
What IP rating does it carry?
IP54. The fitting is protected against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for exposed exterior walls, porches and doorways in typical UK weather conditions including rain.
What bulbs does it take?
Two GU10 bulbs up to 20W each (sold separately). LED GU10 bulbs between 3W and 7W are most commonly used, typically in 3000K warm white or 4000K neutral white colour temperatures depending on the application.
Can it be fitted to a brick wall?
Yes. The wall bracket accepts standard masonry fixings (wall plugs and screws). The Class I rating requires an earth connection, so a suitable outdoor-rated cable and back box or junction box must be installed behind the fitting.
