Description

The Knightsbridge OWALL1AP is a compact outdoor wall light with an integrated photocell sensor that switches the light on automatically at dusk and off at dawn. The cylindrical 201 stainless steel body is powder-coated in anthracite, with a downward-facing GU10 lamp holder behind a clear diffuser. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction.

Designed for domestic and commercial exterior lighting, the fitting suits entrance porches, garage sides, pathway walls, courtyard perimeters and building corners where automatic lighting is needed without manual switches or timers. The 60mm diameter and 120mm height give a low-profile presence that works on narrower wall surfaces, while the 96mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall plane. The photocell sensor eliminates the need to remember to switch on security or welcome lighting after dark.

The anthracite powder coat over 201 stainless steel provides corrosion resistance in coastal and high-humidity locations. The clear diffuser directs most light downwards onto the ground immediately below the fitting, with minimal upward light spill. The fitting accepts any GU10 halogen or LED bulb up to 20W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose warm white (2700K-3000K) for domestic entrances or cool white (4000K-5000K) for commercial pathways and car parks.

How does the photocell sensor work?

The integrated photocell detects ambient light levels and switches the lamp on automatically when daylight falls below a threshold (typically at dusk) and off when daylight returns (dawn). No manual switching or timer programming is required. The sensor sensitivity is factory-set and cannot be adjusted.

What IP rating does it carry?

IP54. This means the fitting is protected against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor locations such as porches, eaves and covered pathways. It is not suitable for direct submersion or high-pressure water jets.

What bulb should I use?

The fitting takes a GU10 bulb up to 20W (sold separately). Most users pair this with a 5-7W GU10 LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) for domestic entrances or cool white (4000K) for commercial pathways. Halogen GU10 bulbs are also compatible but draw more power and generate more heat.

Can it be installed in coastal locations?

Yes. The 201 stainless steel construction with anthracite powder coating provides corrosion resistance suitable for coastal and high-humidity environments. Regular rinsing with fresh water will extend the finish life in salt-spray zones.
