Description
This Knightsbridge outdoor wall light is a single-direction downlight housed in a 60mm diameter anthracite powder-coated stainless steel cylinder. The fitting takes one GU10 bulb up to 20W (sold separately) and carries an IP54 rating, making it suitable for external installation on walls, porch entrances, courtyard boundaries, and building facades exposed to rain and dust.
The downward-facing beam projects light onto the ground or pathway below the fitting, creating pools of illumination along walkways, at doorways, or beside garage entrances. The 96mm wall projection keeps the fitting compact enough for narrow passages and tight corners without protruding into circulation space. The clear diffuser allows the bulb beam pattern to cast directly downward without scattering or diffusing the light cone.
The 201 stainless steel construction resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments, while the anthracite powder coating provides a near-black matt finish that reduces glare and blends with dark brickwork, render, and composite cladding. The fitting is Class I, requiring an earth connection during installation. Dimming capability depends on the GU10 bulb selected — pair with a dimmable LED GU10 and compatible wall dimmer if variable output is needed.

Frequently Asked
What does IP54 mean?
IP54 provides dust protection (level 5) and protection against water splashes from any direction (level 4). The fitting can be installed outdoors in locations exposed to rain but should not be directly hosed or submerged.
Does it come with a bulb?
No. The fitting takes one GU10 bulb up to 20W maximum, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 5-7W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for pathway and entrance lighting.
Can it be mounted horizontally?
The fitting is designed as a downlight with a single aperture facing the ground. Mounting it horizontally would direct the beam sideways rather than downward, reducing its effectiveness as pathway or entrance lighting.
Is the anthracite finish truly matt?
Yes. The powder-coated finish is low-sheen and near-matt, minimising reflections under daylight and reducing glare when the bulb is lit at night.
