Description

The Knightsbridge LANT3BKP is an outdoor LED half wall lantern with an integrated photocell sensor that switches the light on at dusk and off at dawn, with a manual override for daytime use. The lantern housing is moulded from black polycarbonate with a stepped profile and opal polycarbonate diffuser panels on three sides, housing an 8W integrated LED that produces 440lm output at 4000K cool white.

Designed for external wall mounting on house fronts, garage sides, porch entrances and garden outbuildings, the lantern carries an IP54 rating protecting against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction. The photocell sensor automates dusk-to-dawn operation without timer programming, making it useful for porches and front doors where consistent overnight security lighting is needed without manual switching. The half-lantern format sits flat against the wall with a 99mm projection, reducing the risk of being knocked by passing traffic or wheeled bins.

The polycarbonate construction resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments where metal lanterns would require regular maintenance. The opal diffuser spreads the 225-degree beam angle evenly across porch steps and pathways, reducing harsh shadows. The fitting is Class II double-insulated, requiring only live and neutral connections without the need for an earth wire.
