Outdoor Adjustable Wall Light GU10 - Stainless Steel IP65

The Knightsbridge WALL3 is a cylindrical outdoor wall light made from Grade 304 stainless steel with an adjustable GU10 spotlight head and IP65 weather protection. The 62mm-diameter housing mounts to an exterior wall with a 162mm projection, and the head tilts on a brass-bushed joint to direct light onto pathways, doorways, architectural features or garden planting.

Designed for exterior residential and light commercial use, the fitting accepts any GU10 LED or halogen bulb up to 35W (bulb sold separately). The IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for exposed positions including coastal areas where salt spray and driving rain are factors. The clear diffuser in front of the GU10 bulb does not reduce light output or colour temperature, so the chosen bulb's characteristics come through without modification.

The 304-grade stainless steel body resists corrosion in wet and humid conditions without needing painted finishes that can chip or fade. The polished stainless finish reflects ambient light during the day and provides a neutral metallic accent that pairs with both traditional brickwork and modern render or cladding. At 140mm height and 162mm projection the fitting is compact enough for porches, side passages and close-to-door installations without protruding excessively into walkways.

The Class I electrical specification requires connection to mains earth. Dimming capability depends on the specific GU10 bulb chosen — most LED GU10 bulbs are dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer, but halogen GU10 bulbs require a leading-edge dimmer. The fitting is supplied with a mounting plate and fixings for installation onto brick, stone, render or timber cladding.

What bulb does it take and is one included?

The fitting accepts any GU10 LED or halogen bulb up to 35W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W GU10 LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) for general pathway or door lighting, or cool white (4000K-5000K) for security or accent lighting.

Can the light direction be adjusted?

Yes. The spotlight head tilts on a joint inside the cylindrical housing, allowing the beam to be angled up, down or forward depending on whether you're lighting a doorway, a wall feature, or a pathway below the fitting.

Is the IP65 rating suitable for coastal locations?

The IP65 rating protects against dust and water jets, and the 304-grade stainless steel resists corrosion in salt air. However, in exposed coastal positions with regular salt spray, periodic rinsing with fresh water will help maintain the polished finish over time.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the GU10 bulb chosen. Most LED GU10 bulbs are dimmable with a trailing-edge dimmer. Halogen GU10 bulbs require a leading-edge dimmer. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming — it's determined by the bulb and dimmer pairing.
