Description

The Knightsbridge WAD12AA is an outdoor LED wall light with two independently adjustable 6W LED modules behind a die-cast aluminium cube housing finished in anthracite. Each light head directs warm 3000K light either upwards or downwards, with a beam angle adjustable from 0° to 100° to create narrow accent beams or wide wall washes depending on the setting.

Designed for external walls on residential properties, commercial frontages, and garden boundaries, the IP65 rating protects the internals from dust ingress and water jets, making the fitting suitable for exposed positions including coastal areas. The 100mm cube projection sits flush against the wall with a single rear mounting plate, and the anthracite powder-coated finish resists UV degradation and corrosion. The combined 600lm output (2 x 300lm) provides enough light to mark doorways, highlight architectural features, or wash either side of an entrance.

The die-cast aluminium construction gives the fitting durability without excessive weight, and the Class I electrical rating requires an earth connection during installation. The integrated SMD LEDs are non-replaceable but carry a 30,000-hour L70B50 rating, meaning 70% of the original brightness remains after 30,000 operating hours under typical conditions. The prismatic diffusers soften the LED output and reduce glare when viewed directly from below or above.

What does IP65 mean?

IP65 means the fitting is fully protected against dust ingress (IP6X) and can withstand low-pressure water jets from any direction (IPX5). This makes it suitable for exposed outdoor positions including coastal areas, though it is not submersible.

How is the beam angle adjusted?

Each of the two LED modules rotates independently within the housing. You adjust the position of each head to direct light upwards or downwards and set the beam spread anywhere between a narrow 0° accent beam and a wide 100° wall wash.

Can the LEDs be replaced?

No. The SMD LEDs are integrated into the fitting and are not user-replaceable. However, the L70B50 rating of 30,000 hours means the LEDs will retain 70% of their original brightness after approximately 13 years of typical residential use (6 hours per night).

Does it require an earth connection?

Yes. The fitting is Class I, which requires an earth connection during installation. A qualified electrician should install the fitting in compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
