The Knightsbridge 6-gang grid faceplate is a 148mm square brushed chrome cover plate designed for use with the Knightsbridge screwless grid system. The plate provides six individual apertures in a 3x2 configuration, each accepting a standard grid module (switches, sockets, data ports, or blanks). The screwless design clips onto a separate metal grid frame (GDS003F, sold separately), leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed.

Designed for residential and commercial installations where multiple functions need to be grouped in a single location — kitchens with lighting, appliance and extractor controls, AV walls with HDMI and speaker connections, or office desks with power, data and USB charging. The 148mm footprint fits a standard double-gang back box with 25mm minimum depth, though the exact depth requirement depends on the number and type of grid modules fitted behind the plate.

The brushed chrome finish is a directional satin texture on premium-grade steel, giving a cooler metallic tone than brass or gold finishes. The 3.5mm projection from the wall keeps the plate profile low, and the IP20 rating confirms it's suitable for dry indoor locations. This faceplate requires one GDS003F grid frame, sold separately. The frame fixes to the back box and holds the individual grid modules. The screwless cover plate then clips onto the frame to hide the fixings.

What modules fit this plate?

The plate accepts six standard Knightsbridge grid modules in any combination — switches, sockets, USB charging, HDMI, RJ45 data, TV/SAT, speaker terminals or blank modules. Modules are sold separately and clip into the grid frame.

Can the plate be removed after installation?

Yes. The screwless plate clips onto the grid frame and can be removed by hand for redecorating or module changes, then re-clipped without re-wiring the back box.
