Description

The Knightsbridge 4ft LED batten combines selectable wattage (18W or 32W), adjustable colour temperature (3000K, 4000K or 5700K), a built-in microwave presence sensor, and a lithium battery emergency backup in a single 1225mm fitting. The wattage and CCT settings are selected via switches inside the hinged gear tray before installation, allowing the same fitting to be configured differently across multiple rooms without needing separate product variants.

Designed as a direct replacement for conventional 4ft fluorescent battens in commercial, educational, industrial and residential settings, the fitting mounts to standard 600mm ceiling joist centres or BESA boxes and includes rear and end conduit fixing points. The microwave sensor detects movement through non-metallic surfaces, triggering full output when presence is detected and dimming or switching off when the space is unoccupied — adjustable via the sensor's built-in controls. The emergency mode maintains 320 lumens for a minimum of 3 hours during mains failure, recharged automatically via the lithium battery.

The pressed steel body and opal polycarbonate diffuser distribute light evenly across a 145-degree beam angle, delivering between 2,380 lumens (18W at 3000K) and 4,490 lumens (32W at 4000K) depending on the selected configuration. Push-fit loop-in loop-out terminals and the hinged gear tray allow single-step installation without removing the diffuser or back plate. The white powder-coated finish suits offices, corridors, stairwells, plant rooms and storage areas. The fitting carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor locations and a 5-year warranty (battery excluded).
