The Knightsbridge WALL1LBK is a fixed GU10 wall light built from die-cast aluminium with a black powder-coated finish and an IP65 rating for full weatherproofing. The cylindrical head houses a single GU10 bulb (sold separately) behind a clear lens, directing light in a fixed downward beam onto pathways, doorways, or facade features.

Designed for outdoor wall mounting on residential and commercial buildings, the fitting provides functional illumination for entrances, garage doors, patio areas and external stairways. The IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making the fitting suitable for fully exposed positions. The 94mm projection from the wall keeps the light head clear of most cladding profiles and gives adequate clearance for air circulation around the GU10 lamp.

The die-cast aluminium construction provides structural rigidity and corrosion resistance over powder-coated pressed steel alternatives. The black powder coat is applied electrostatically and heat-cured, giving a hard-wearing finish that resists flaking and UV degradation. The fitting accepts any standard GU10 halogen or LED bulb up to 35W, with dimming capability dependent on the specific bulb chosen.

The Class I electrical rating requires an earth connection during installation. The circular backplate measures 64mm in diameter and fixes to standard UK back boxes or directly to masonry with appropriate fixings. The clear lens does not diffuse the beam, so lamp choice determines the light quality — a warm-white LED GU10 provides softer ambient lighting, while a cool-white high-lumen LED gives sharper task illumination.

What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?

IP65 means the fitting is fully dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for fully exposed outdoor positions including coastal areas, though regular cleaning is recommended in high-salt environments.

What bulb should I use?

The fitting takes any GU10 bulb up to 35W. Most users pair this with a 5-7W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for pathway and entrance lighting. The clear lens does not diffuse the beam, so choose a bulb with a suitable beam angle for your application — 60° for wider coverage, 38° for more focused light.

Is the beam direction adjustable?
