Description

The Knightsbridge HDMI outlet module is a 25 x 50mm euro-module insert designed to provide a flush-mounted HDMI connection in modular faceplates. The module features an HDMI socket on the front face with a 100mm cable pigtail terminating in a female HDMI socket at the rear, allowing HDMI cables to be connected behind the wall and terminated neatly without needing to route a bulky cable connector through the wall aperture.

Designed for AV installations in home cinema rooms, conference spaces, boardrooms and living areas where wall-mounted TVs or projectors need clean cabling runs, the module fits standard euro-module faceplates from Knightsbridge's Grid range. The 25mm width occupies one module space in a multi-gang grid plate, allowing HDMI to be combined with power, network, speaker or other AV connections in a single faceplate. The 47mm minimum back box depth accommodates the rear cable and connector without strain.

The white ABS construction matches standard white grid faceplates and euro-module accessories across residential and commercial installations. HDMI v1.4 specification supports resolutions up to 4K at 30Hz, 3D content, and ARC (Audio Return Channel) for simplified home theatre wiring. The IP20 rating confirms suitability for dry indoor environments. The 100mm rear cable gives sufficient slack for connecting and disconnecting source devices without removing the faceplate.

The module fits Knightsbridge Grid euro-module faceplates, which are available in 1, 2, 3 and 4-module widths across a range of finishes including white, chrome, brushed steel and black. Each 25mm-wide module occupies one space in the grid.

What HDMI version does it support?

HDMI v1.4, which supports resolutions up to 4K at 30Hz, 3D content, Ethernet over HDMI, and Audio Return Channel. This is sufficient for most residential AV installations and standard HD/4K content playback.

What is the rear cable for?

The 100mm cable pigtail allows you to connect an HDMI cable at the back of the wall box without having to route a full HDMI plug through the narrow wall aperture. The socket on the front face is for the visible connection to a TV or display.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 47mm back box depth is needed to accommodate the module, the rear cable and the HDMI connector without crushing the cable. Standard 47mm or 50mm euro-module back boxes work well.
